The challenge of raising Godly children in today's society is one of the greatest each parent must face. We have God's promise in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (NKJV), but how do we "train?"
God's handbook for parents (His Holy Word) gives us many instructions, but more than those words, God illustrates throughout the Old and New Testament HOW to parent. He shows how to love unconditionally, how to bless and how to discipline for behavior without changing his attitude toward His children. Craig Hill's teaching Raising Godly Children, addresses difficult parenting problems facing parents of small children through teens and Godly solutions critical to today's parents. You will also find through attending the Ancient Paths Seminars that as you deal with your own heart issues you will have a new ability to practice God's ancient paths in raising your children. |

It was a cold December morning with snow on the ground when your mother first awoke Knowing it was time that you were soon on your way because her water had just broke
With me it took a little more convincing but with a prod from your mother I was soon awake Excitement and eagerness gripped me; soon a son to play football, tennis and even fishing at the lake
We entered the hospital with doctors and nurses all around as the pains soon began Not only from your mother but from my hand that your mother squeezed when she said "I think I can"
The birth was long and you were stubborn not willing to enter this world without a fight But we were all growing tired and fatigued as we waited for you to catch your first glimpse of this world’s light

“It is time” the Doctor exclaimed. “The woman is ready to give birth and is doing fine” You see the woman was my wife…and I was eagerly waiting for the baby, which was all mine As the head of the baby appeared I thought, “Yes, another son,” as I secretly boasted And in my mind I broke out the Champaign for this was surely an event that should be toasted. It was time to give birth to another son… baseball, basketball, and football every father’s dream Two sons could be the best of friends and they could even be on the same team. And through your mother’s womb into this world you came And I realized…a daughter, not a son…what did I do differently? I thought I did everything the same. |
